真他妈的累呀，第二次写这么长的鸟语~
Hi ***,
It’s very happy to see you have already taken some *** tasks. I’m sure you will take more in future. I hope you grow up as a qualified team member. As a new graduate, I think ***, *** and *** won’t set a high standard to you. But it doesn’t mean there is no requirements. I’m sure they will set a little bit higher target for you to approach.
Through training, I hope you have already got basic knowledge and skills, and more you know the gap between your ability and team member requirements.
When we recruit new team member, we evaluate a candidate though 4 points, networking knowledge, script ability, familiar with test process and English.
Although your major is not communication or computer science, but our team will be benefit from your difference. Networking is your weakness, please study networking knowledge in your leisure time. To know how networking works and how equipment provider use our product. It’s also the reason I give you 2 TOIs on networking and protocols. Networking understanding will help your daily work and know points of our product which need to improve.
You might have wrote some scripts or codes before, so I think it’s not an issue. All you need just to improve it and be professional because I know a student doesn’t consider more except code itself, but it really important to write professional scripts or code. Networking understanding will help you to use right logic in your script.
As a new ** engineer, you just need to follow up current test process rule even you don’t know the reason and make it your work habit. After you get more test process experience after several main releases, you will know the reason and find the balance between quality and time cost, then make your decision when you open a CR or verify a CR. If you are confusing for something, please ask help from me or other team member.
*** is an international company. English is our work language, it’s very important. You might be shy or fear to speak out in English, please overcome it because *** is very nice. Company provide training opportunity, but I don’t think it help you much. You can watch America series or movies as entertainments and talk to *** or another team member in weekly meeting.
My experience told me, new graduate will improve themselves in technic skills quickly in 5 years, but then you need find another factors and ways to improve. Good good study, day day up.
Before you do something, please be smart. Investigate at first, then make a plan, act as your plan, review result when finish it. Know you do thing right or wrong and get experience. If it’s ok, copy it in next time. After several times, find defects to improve it. Continues improve is real power. I watched this slogan every day when I worked in *** although it was on another product lines wall, the product line was called Power . Like so many things, easy to say but really hard to do. I hope you can improve yourself when you work in ***. It’s a work model I pursuit, hope it same to you.
When you need help, don’t hesitate and ask for help. There is a good concept in ***, the manager and team lead ask his guy, what I can do for you and help you. Please make it not only a concept. I notice your communication is very good and better than me when I was graduated. You get a good work and life relationship with other team members. Good relationship will make you work happy and even your personal life will benefit from it. Different guy have different ability and resource, multiply use it.
We work in *** because company can provide something that we need. If you think something wrong or something make you unhappy, please tell ***, *** and ***. I’m sure they are very happy to listen your voice even complains and try to resolve it for you. I hope you can get what you need and work happy source from your heart inside.
We are not live in a perfect world or fairyland, always something good and something bad. *** is also not an exception. Be positive and reduce the influence of bad things.
