今天的比较简单写是light and sound.主要讲的是光和声
Light
Lots of different things give out light. During the day, most light comes from the sun. When something blocks the light, you get a dark area called a shadow. All light travels in straight lines. Some light comes from electric lights. We use it to light up our homes. A torch or a flashlight is an electric light with a battery inside. So you can carry it all around. Where there is no light, we call it darkness. Some things give out light when they burn, such as candle or fire.
Sound
There are sounds all around us. Sound is made by something moving back and forth very quickly. This is called vibrating. Plucking a guitar string makes the string vibrate. Blowing into a saxophone makes a reed vibrate. Some sounds are really loud. Some sounds are very very soft.
How high or low a sound is, is called its pitch. A man snoring has a low pitch. A canary singing has a high pitch.
