1. What do prisoners use to call each other?
Cell phones.("Cell phone" means mobile phones, but "cell' also means prison.)
2. What do you get from a pampered cow?
Spoiled milk. ("Pampered" and "spoiled" both mean 宠坏了的, but "spoiled' also means food that has gone bad.)
3. What did the grape do when it get stepped on?
It let out a little wine. (Grapes 是用来酿酒 "wine"的, 所以被踩了之后会有葡萄汁挤出来, 同时被人踩了之后, 人人都会叫唤一声, 所以"wine"其实又与"whine叫唤"谐音。
理解了英语单词中的同意词/同音词/一词多意，对于理解一些英美文化中的幽默和笑话都很有帮助。
