再次联想...Better late than never!(It is better to do somthing late than to not to do it at all)
for example 1:
A: The movie has already started. Do you still want to go in?
B: Sure, better late than never!
example 2:
Better late than never is often used as a polite way to respond when a person says "sorry" for being late.
A:Sorry, I was late for the meeting today. I got stuck in traffic.
B: That 's okay. Better late than never.
Example 3
A:I'm sorry it has taken me so long to return this book.
B: Better late than never.
