heee....take it easy
even we chinese cannot understand all the dilects there as well. so there's nothing to be shamed. and don't pay attention to those inguine language so much, for it may even damage ur listening...
and just my personal experience, though it may be hard to fully understand the speaking w/ serious accent, it's still possible to catch up the key msg based on context & common sense. and a quick response/analysis/judgement to define the talking scope is very helpful in communication.
