Senior Consultant
Wily Technology Division of **,Inc. is currently seeking a Presales Consultant to provide technical and business presentations, architect solutions for customer business problems, and develop proof-of-concept, performance benchmarks, and prototypes of proposed business solutions.
The ideal candidate is any individual who can work independently yet also well in groups. He or she is a real "go-getter" who has initiative to make things happen and not wait for them to happen. We require a person who can manage their own time with little supervision, and anticipates the challenge and excitement of delivering to a new market Wily Technology's products. Growth potential into leadership positions is anticipated. Enthusiasm and passion are required.
Responsibilities
Facilitate sales of Wily products by explaining, evangelizing, and demonstrating Wily products and technologies to customers and partners.
Conduct and customize Wily product presentations and demonstrations.
Demonstrate technical expertise in Wily products and the environments in which they operate.
Facilitate the success of Wily alliance partners by explaining, evangelizing, and demonstrating Wily products and technologies.
Conduct and customize Wily product presentations and demonstrations.
Play a leadership role in providing high-level education to alliance partner team members.
Demonstrate technical expertise in Wily products and the environments in which they operate.
Support Marketing projects as assigned, such as trade shows, etc.
Evangelize Application Management and Wily Technology within alliance partner organizations.
Take the lead in the completion of RFI, RFP and POC projects for direct transactions, and assist partners in partner transactions.
REQUIREMENTS (Education & Years Experience)
Bachelors of Science degree plus 2+ years of proven relevant presales consulting/engineering experience.
Deep knowledge of browser based applications and web technologies.
Deep knowledge of Java application servers or Java concepts and methodologies.
Preferred knowledge of Microsoft .Net managed applications.
Experience with systems management frameworks and performance analysis techniques.
Experience in partner enablement and/or partner support roles a plus.
Experience developing or managing the deployment of an enterprise application is a plus.
Ideal candidates will be familiar with: J2EE Technologies (e.g. JSP, Servlets, EJB); Microsoft .NET; Java Application server administration / tuning (e.g. WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, IPlanet, Oracle, etc.); Databases (e.g. Oracle, DB2); System access (e.g. Solaris, Linux, AIX, Windows)
This position requires a technical phone pre-screen and may require a presentation pre-screen prior to interviews.
Good command of written and spoken English. Experience translating English documentation is a plus.
