Work Location: Wuxi
Responsibilities:
* Design, specify engineering equipment and sub-systems for water & wastewater treatment process with regards to compliance with engineering principles, standards and specifications, applicable local & global codes & standards;
* The design of systems and equipment with emphasis on mechanical design including detailed equipment design, general arrangement of the system, skid & platform design, Process & Instrumentation diagrams etc.;
* All designs to take into account safety, functionality, operability, maintainability and economic cost principles;
* Develop accurate and detailed documentation including but not limited detailed design & fabrication drawings, bills of materials, material specifications, technical data, equipment/product data sheets, assembly instructions, installation instructions, operation & maintenance manuals, to enable the correct manufacture / assembly / installation / testing of equipment by others;
* To maintain accurate Quality Assurance and engineering documentation and records;
* Specification and selection of appropriate materials and components as appropriate to the design. This will require regular liaison with the Sourcing teams;
* To assist with the establishment of cost estimates based on design, to participate design review, HAZOP’s and other review as requested;
* Provide expertise and technical guidance and assistance in support of activities involved in the sourcing, procurement, fabrication, installation, commissioning and operation of platform equipment;
* Review of existing platform products to optimize design, manufacturability, operability and cost;
* To ensure compliance with Company and project specific quality control requirements;
* Any other work as required.
Requirements:
* 5+ years working experience in mechanical/process engineering and material selection for water treatment process;
* Strong skills & experience in skidded equipment engineering for membrane-based technologies including but not limited to UF/RO/MBR/EDI;
* Must have competent AutoCAD skills, 2D and 3D modeling abilities, excellent attention to detail;
* SAP experience and operation would be desirable;
* Tertiary education in BE or BS of mechanical or water treatment process engineering;
* Ability to adapt in a continuously changing environment;
* Ability to communicate in English;
* Ability to travel when required.
Desired:
* Seawater desalination engineering experience;
* Tertiary education in water & wastewater engineering discipline.
