雅尼深爱的母亲Felitsa（2006年5月20日早晨）在位于希腊卡拉马塔附近的家中去世。最近被诊断出患有帕金森病的Felitsa是在睡梦中平静辞世的。本月早些时她与家人朋友庆祝了她76岁生日。
葬礼于5月22日在她的家乡卡拉马塔举行。
