    据日媒报道，近来，在日本北海道空知地区的森林中，几只刚刚孵化出的北海道猫头鹰宝宝正在茁壮成长。这些小家伙的妈妈则机警的在附近看护，严防外来入侵者伤害到自己的幼鸟。

　　据当地相关人员透露，“也许是因为雪少，孵化也提前了，今年5月21日雏鸟们就从巢穴中陆续探出头来”。

　　在日本，猫头鹰是吉利和幸福的代表，该国民众更是将其视为“福鸟”。究其原因可能还与猫头鹰在日语中的发音有关系。猫头鹰在日语里可以写作“福老”，表示富裕长寿的老人；还有“福笼”的说法，寓意是把“福”关在笼子里，多多地留在身边。

　　日本人对猫头鹰的喜爱也是世界闻名的。1998年，日本长野冬季奥运会的吉祥物就是4只可爱的小猫头鹰。而在北海道则有着日本最大的猫头鹰，其展开的双翼可长达1.70米左右。
