I have a hunch that the plan will not work
The manager had a hunch that something was to pay.
和 have/get a hunch同 出 一 源 的 另 一 个 成 语 是 play one's hunch, 意 思 即 凭 预 感 或 直 觉 办 事 , 例 如 ︰
He did not know what they were up to,and decided to play his hunch
Q:Let's sell our stocks now.(咱們現在賣掉股票吧。)
A:Why? They keep going up.(為什麼?
Q:I have a feeling they're about to go down a few days later.
I have a feeling/hunch that my girl friend is leaving me; she's been quite cold to me recently.
