职位描述
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and debug software for existing products in accordance with designated development practices and timelines. You will perform software development activities required to support report and dashboard building and viewing operations for a multi-threaded application(s). The software development may include generation of HTML and PDF, scheduling and distribution, data retrieval, technical support, and unit testing.
Additional Responsibilities:
•Design, code, debug, test and document or revise existing Java code; actively soliciting the involvement of other developers to ensure integrity and cross-product consistency.
•Working with multiple operating systems and anticipating technical anomalies and enhancements for various environments.
•Performing testing of software by creating and executing automated tests as well as manual tests; verifying, tracking, and fixing "bugs"; modifying software design, as necessary.
•Developing software tools in support of specific operating systems, system programs, and internet-related applications.
•Discussing technical and design issues with users and customers; anticipating time needed to complete projects and assist in product scheduling.
•Designing, developing, and ensuring quality of various prototype and demonstration systems.
•Preparing and conducting system and program tests requiring hardware and software.
•Determining hardware compatibility and developing compatible code as appropriate.
•Assuming a leadership role in programming projects.
•Training/mentoring and directing activities of junior members.
•Performing other duties as assigned.
Essential requirements:
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related quantitative field.
•5 years of software development/programming experience.
•Experience programming in Java and mid-tier development.
•Experience writing, maintaining, and extending automated unit test cases using JUnit.
Additional requirements:
•Experience developing Java applications using Eclipse.
•Experience building
•Java applications using Ant.
•Experience developing Business Intelligence reporting applications.
•Considerable knowledge of multiple operating systems.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Strong interpersonal skills.
•Ability to work independently or with a team.
•Excellent organizations, oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
•Experience using WebSphere, WebLogic, and/or Jboss applications servers.
•Excellent programming skills in SAS or language(s) related to assigned area.
•Familiarity with SQL, OLAP concepts and MDX
